This gym is so great. You'll never have to wait for any equipment, you come in, get your workout done and go. The staff is so friendly and the facilities are very well kept. It's a super welcoming and friendly environment without being overbearing. I definitely recommend using this gym!

If you don't require a "gym/spa" and all the nice amenities of a high-end gym, and just want a good gym to work out and maybe even try a kickboxing class, this is the spot for you. Kickboxing coaches are trained and makes for a good learning experience (and workout) for newcomers. Gym is almost always pretty empty which I would always take over an overcrowded competitor.

Hands down, no contest - the best gym in the city. Hard to tell from the entryway, but it is massive and never crowed. Plenty of free weights/machines, Indoor track, full size boxing ring, MMA cage and dojo. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Chicago Fitness Center to anyone.

This is a phenomenal place to work out. Great trainers and staff. Also, if you’re looking for a place to train Martial Arts/ Combative / Defense. There are instructor's here with decades of experience in sports, real life combative and self-defense.

I've been a member of Chicago Fitness Center for over 30 years. I started as a young martial arts student and took advantage of all the amenities and offerings over the years. The instruction, equipment and atmosphere are 2nd to none. It’s hard to find gyms like this anymore and that is one of the main reasons that I never left. Check it out for martial arts, MMA, self-defense, strength training, group classes, personal training, etc. I've done it all and promise that it won't disappoint.

I have been a member of this locally owned gym since the 1990s and recommend it unequivocally. It is the finest combination of martial arts and fitness classes, weights, machines, and cardio in Chicago. For those interested in powerlifting, there are plenty of squat racks, bars, plates, dumbbells, and pull up bars. Also, there are numerous states of the art exercise and weight machines available. The running track is excellent for a warm up. It is one of the few gyms with a sled (or prowler), and it has tractor tires and also the ropes. The personal trainers are outstanding, as are the employees and the owner. If you want to learn self-defense, this is the place to do it as well.

If you’re interested in both martial arts and weight training, then this is arguably the best gym in the city. I used to always have to pay for two gym memberships: One for boxing/MMA and one for weight training. But Chicago Fitness Center has it all!

Other things I like: Very kind staff and owner, plenty of space to work out, wide variety of equipment to try new things, and they keep it clean!

This is the best gym in Chicago, hands down. It’s full of character, welcoming, and a community feeling where people care and know your name. All the weights and equipment one needs and the entire staff is incredibly friendly and helpful.

This is a great gym! Whether you’re looking for martial arts, functional fitness, or simply strength training CFC has the best to offer. The instructors and trainers are the best around and always make the workouts fun but by no means easy. I don’t live in the city any longer but I still train here because you can’t beat it.
